Millions of fans worldwide decided who the starters of the NBA All-Star game would be but the coaches from around the association determined the reserves. And there will be some new school flavor added to this years All-Star game as the rosters consist of three first time All Stars – The Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green, Detroit’s’ Andre Drummond, and Boston’s’ Isaiah Thomas. While many think of the great Detroit Pistons guard when they hear the name Isaiah Thomas, the young guard from the Boston Celtics has been making a name for himself and proved this year that he would no longer be overlooked. The 5’9″ point guard was traded to the Boston Celtics midway through the 2014-15 season but entered this season on a vengeance, wanting to prove to all his doubters that he was in fact a high-level NBA player. Resulting in averages of 21.6 points and 6.6 assist per game. Helping the Boston Celtics to a 26-21 record and the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference standings. Which is why the coaches really had no choice but to award him with the All-Star spot he rightfully deserved. Take a look at Isaiah’s top ten plays from the season in the video below!
