So it’s Wednesday and you are feeling a tad bit tired and unmotivated to head into the gym this evening but are you truly that exhausted or are you just making up excuses to justify your laziness? The more you tell yourself “I am just too tired to train today and I needed a day off anyway”, the more you begin to believe that it is in fact true. But before you begin manipulate your mind into believing this nonsense, just remember that there is a 78-year-old granny out there pushing her body to the limit. The reason why she can find the energy to get into the gym while you might struggle is because Shirley understands that her mind controls her body, not the other way around. Which is why she plans to continue training, stating “I have no intention of stopping right now” as lifting weights has helped change her life claiming that “When I go to the gym and work out, when I leave, I feel so much better than I did when I went in, and I just feel so good. I feel tremendous.” Living proof that as long as you don’t confine yourself, there are truly no limits to what one can do.
