Bench Press Does Not Build A Bigger Chest?

by Brandon

If you’ve been hitting chest hard every week by incorporating flat, incline, and decline bench press into your routine but haven’t seen the growth you’d like to see in your chest; Elliot Hulse might have an explanation as to why. “A bench press is a press, as appose to a chest stimulator or an isolator of the chest muscles”. Pressing will help you obtain a stronger, bigger, better bench press – which includes muscles like your triceps and shoulders. Elliot argues that depending on your form when you bench press, you might be getting more of a tricep workout than anything else.  Elliot goes on to advise workouts such as dumbbell flies which isolate the chest and take triceps out of the equation.
