UFC fighter Conor McGregor is widely known for his arrogance and ability to entertain which is why many like to compare him to Floyd Mayweather. And it is actually a pretty accurate comparison as they both contain extremely similar personalities, to go along with their exceptional fighting abilities. But after UFC 196 we saw a side of Conor that we have never been showed before. He was gracious, humble, and even optimistic after the unexpected loss. Going on to say, “It’s a tough pill to swallow but we can either run from our adversity or run to our adversity, take it head on and conquer it.”
Conor made a serious mistake in taking a fight way above the 145 lbs where he has dominated and remains champion. Most likely realizing this blunder the exact moment Diaz’s fists began to make contact with his skull during the second round. As Diaz connected on a nice combination, that sent McGregor falling backward. Below is a reminder of the remarkable finish to the fight, which saw McGregor’s run of seven consecutive wins in the UFC come to an end!
