The key to getting the most out of your training sessions is to sustain a high intensity throughout your time spent at the gym. Maintaining a high intensity level will allow you to push yourself on every single repetition of every set. If you are trying to achieve some crazy gains you don’t have time to half ass your way through a training session. Giving anything less than 100% effort is not acceptable. One man who lives by that philosophy is the one and only CT Fletcher, his name is probably right under the word intense in the dictionary. No or can’t are words that do not exist within his vocabulary and for good reason. Once you tell yourself you can not do something guess what- you will not be able to do it. The mind controls the body not the other way around, which is why mental toughness is so important. In an effort to test their mental fortitude CT put Anette De La Rosa and Lauren Fit DJ through his 5 minutes of hell. It consist of continuous squatting for a five minute period with no rest periods in between. Yes it sounds pretty insane but in no way shape or form is it impossible.
