Athletes are always in search of ways in which they could enhance their performance in an effort to get an advantage over their competition while getting themselves one step closer to their goals. And if your goal is to build a big, strong, and lean body, all the training advice and expertise won’t do your body any good if you aren’t properly fueling it. In order for your muscles to grow, you must supply them with specific nutrients that will assist them in recovering and growing after an intense workout. Simply put, you must take your diet and nutrition as serious as you do your training sessions. And a diet consisting of purely chicken and rice just isn’t going to cut it.
NPC News recently caught up with IFBB Pro Evan Centopani at the Montanri Bros Powerhouse Gym In New Haven, Connecticut as he finished up his preparations for the 2016 Arnold Classic and asked him what tips he had for aspiring bodybuilders. His number one tip was for all competitors to expand their diet beyond just chicken and rice, as it will allow them to feel better and perform at their best.
