The Charlotte Hornets erased 14 years of playoff disappointments with their victory over the favored Miami Heat in game 3 on Saturday. And while that was the most noise many anticipated them making in this postseason, the Hornets entered yesterday’s game four with plans of tying the series at two games apiece. But in order for that result to come to fruition, they would need a huge performance from their heart and soul – point guard Kemba Walker. Kemba fully understood what he needed to bring to the court and turned in quite a performance as he danced around defenders all night long. Leaving them with helpless looks on their faces after knocking down step back after step back. Scoring the Hornets next 11 points after the 6:07 mark in the fourth quarter and leading his squad to the finish line. Exactly what the diminutive Walker is known for – coming up with big plays in crunch time. “That’s what I’m known for,” he said. “I’m known for making big plays down the stretch. Tonight was another example.” Finishing off with a total of 34 points on 13-28 shooting, setting a new personal playoff career-high.
