Each and every year there are some match ups in the NBA Playoffs that on the surface seem as if they might play out to be lopsided series. One of which was this years match up between the 3-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder and the 6-seeded Dallas Mavericks. And this sentiment grew even stronger following the Mavericks 38-point loss in game one. But it made no difference what outsiders thought and were predicting because the guys inside of the Dallas Mavericks locker room still believed in one another and the skills they each bring to court. And while this is all great, they still needed somebody to step up and provide the team with a jolt it desperately needed, particularly from a veteran. Well that jolt certainly came in the form of a 6’1″ point guard who goes by the name of Raymond Felton. As Felton fueled the Mavs by turning in a 21 point and 11 rebound performance, providing Dallas with a playmaking ability they so desperately needed. Throw in a little Dirk Nowitzki with a solid 17-point performance and you have a series that is now tied at one heading to Dallas. I can’t wait to see the level of intensity that the Oklahoma City Thunder comes out with in game three as they will have revenge on their minds which can extremely scary thought for Rick Carlisle and the Dallas Mavericks.
