Being a 6’8″ freshman in high school pretty much automatically makes you one of the best young basketball players in your town. Even if you suck on offense, any kid with serviceable motor skills could become a defensive menace in the paint. But that’s not what Shareef O’Neal, Shaq’s son, is working with. He can flat out play. He may not be as big as his father, but unlike Shaq, all signs point to Shareef being able to actually shoot a basketball from outside of 5 feet. Come to think of it, this father-son relationship might be the only time in history that a former professional basketball player couldn’t beat his own son in a game of H-O-R-S-E (or whatever animal folks are spelling these days).
