Everyone likes to talk smack about how “fake” the WWE is, but the training regimen John Cena shared with us (not to mention a torn tricep and full pec tear amongst his arsenal of injuries). One of the biggest stars of the WWE stage talks to us about how he got even bigger and badder.

John Cena was born April 23, 1977, in West Newbury, Massachusetts. Calling himself “The Prototype,” he captured the UPW title in 2000. In 2001 he signed a contract to work at Ohio Valley Wrestling. He captured the OVW heavyweight title in February 2002, then made his WWE debut that June. Two years later, he took the United States Championship. Since then he has notched many wins and titles.

“Across the family of AMI titles Muscle & Fitness, Men’s Fitness and Flex John has been on the cover of all three. He’s breathing some really rare air with that. Only Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lou Ferrigno and a very small handful of guys that have ever done that.”
